Kyousuke lost his musical partner Kai in an accident right before they were supposed to make their big debut. Devastated, he dropped out of music entirely and spent the next three years just going through the motions—no drive, no passion, nothing. Then Kai shows up out of nowhere, exactly the same as always and just as loud about everything. He tells Kyousuke that if you're alive but not actually doing anything, you're basically dead anyway.
