Synopsis

Life in the borderlands is brutal. Humans are constantly under siege by demi-human creatures determined to steal their land and their gods. When a young boy named Kai takes a life-threatening wound defending his village, something unexpected happens—he suddenly remembers his past life. And that's when everything clicks into place. Kai realizes the world operates on a rigged system: if you don't have a god watching over you, you're basically playing on nightmare difficulty. For people without a divine guardian, survival itself becomes the daily battle. From there, Kai's story unfolds across a sprawling world of magic, violence, and secrets as he tries to carve out his place in it.
