In this world, everyone can wield mana—except those branded as "Norma," who are treated as subhuman. It's supposed to be a perfect society, and Princess Angelize lives a charmed life, convinced the only real evil comes from the existence of these Norma. Everything changes on her 16th birthday when she discovers the horrible truth: she's a Norma herself. Suddenly, she experiences firsthand what her society actually does to people like her. She's shipped off to an isolated island with other Norma, where they're told their only purpose is to fight and die protecting the world from invading extradimensional dragons. Now calling herself Ange, she's drafted into a military unit piloting giant robots called Paramails in humanity's endless war against these creatures.
