Synopsis

A year after escaping Aincrad and the death game that was Sword Art Online, Kazuto and Asuna are still dealing with the trauma. But their quiet recovery gets interrupted when a new VRMMO called Gun Gale Online suddenly takes off with players everywhere. Then things get serious—a player going by "Death Gun" starts claiming he's actually killing people in the real world. Kazuto, better known as Kirito, gets pulled in to investigate, and just like that, his peaceful life is over.
