Hirama Ren is a brilliant student and student council chairman who's always at the top of his class. One day he confronts some bullies and tells them to back off. They don't take it well—instead of leaving him alone, they beat up a couple other students and then blame Hirama to the teachers. Furious at the injustice, Hirama becomes obsessed with gaining real power. He wants to remake the world into something better, free from people like them. Then his vice-chair calls him about bringing a hypnotist to school for some event. Hirama sees an opportunity. He agrees, thinking hypnosis might be exactly what he needs. During the hypnotist's demonstration, he designs a test to see if the technique can work on people actively resisting it. With this new tool at his disposal, Hirama begins to reshape his world.
