Synopsis

A gate suddenly opens in Tokyo's Ginza district, unleashing an army of soldiers and monsters that turn the area into a warzone. The gate connects to another world—one ruled by a militant empire and filled with supernatural creatures. Japan's Self-Defense Force sends a small reconnaissance team into this alternate reality to gather intel. The team is led by a soldier who happens to be a hardcore otaku. Almost immediately after crossing over, they discover a village leveled by a massive dragon. The only survivor they find is an unconscious elf girl trapped in a well. Feeling responsible, the team decides to warn the surrounding towns and do what they can to help. As they venture deeper into this strange world, they pick up more magical female companions along the way and slowly uncover the true dangers lurking in this new reality.
