Synopsis

Tanjirou Kamado lives in poverty on a remote mountain with his family. After his father's death, he became the breadwinner, doing whatever it took to keep them afloat. One winter day, he heads down to the village to sell charcoal. When night falls, a strange man lets him stay over and warns him about demons—creatures that hunt humans at night and eat their flesh. Tanjirou returns home to find his family slaughtered. His sister Nezuko is the only survivor, but she's been transformed into a demon herself. Consumed by grief and rage, Tanjirou makes it his mission to protect Nezuko from hurting anyone while he searches for a way to turn her back human. It's a quest for vengeance and redemption rolled into one.
