Synopsis

Katsuhira Agata is a withdrawn high school guy who's basically lost the ability to feel pain. His childhood friend Chidori can barely remember what he was like before everything changed. These days, his blank, unbothered attitude makes him an easy mark for bullies who constantly shake him down for cash—but even their punches don't really get a reaction out of him. Honestly, he's emotionally numb across the board. Then one day, Katsuhira, Chidori, and four other teenagers get kidnapped and forced into something called the Kizuna System as "Kiznaivers." The deal is brutal: they're all physically connected, so when one person gets hurt, everyone feels the exact same pain. They're basically test subjects for an experimental program that's supposed to somehow bring about world peace. Now that their suffering is literally linked together, these six kids have to actually open up to each other and figure out who they really are. If they don't, they're not just going to fail the experiment—they're going to fail themselves.
