Kuraki Fuzuchi is a quiet guy who happens to be a psychic powerhouse with serious sword skills. He crosses paths with Takeo Nanachi, a college student carrying his own latent supernatural abilities. The story kicks off when Nanachi heads to a remote mountain shrine for a rare festival that only happens once every 49 years—he's there to purify his late grandfather's sword. That's where he meets Kuraki and, by pure accident, witnesses Kuraki going through his initiation as a Shaman. From that point on, their fates get tangled together as they run into all kinds of ghosts, spirits, demons, and other supernatural beings.
