Asterisk, an academy city built on water, is home to the world's largest integrated battle entertainment event called the Star Wars Festival. Students from six different academies—the so-called "Starpulse Generation"—compete against each other wielding powerful weapons called Shining Armaments, all fighting to prove themselves the strongest. Amagiri Ayato is one of these students. He arrives at Asterisk after being invited by Claudia, the Student Council President of Seidoukan Academy. But things don't go smoothly—he almost immediately clashes with Julis, a powerful fighter known as the "Petalblaze Witch," and finds himself forced into a duel with her. And so begins the most intense academy battle tournament imaginable.
