Nobunaga no Chef
A guy wakes up confused in 16th-century Japan during the Warring States Period, alongside a stranger. They're quickly discovered and hunted down as suspected spies. His companion gets shot and dies telling him to escape and find his way back to modern Japan. The guy—Ken—manages to get away. A metalsmith named Natsu finds him and takes him in. Ken has no memory of who he is or where he came from, but he's got cooking skills and knowledge of history still intact. He even remembers things about events that haven't happened yet. His food becomes famous around town, and it catches the attention of Oda Nobunaga himself. As ruthless and domineering as the legends suggest, Nobunaga demands Ken work as his personal chef. He's impressed enough to put Ken's talents to use—both in the kitchen and in his political and military scheming. Ken earns Nobunaga's trust by impressing the warlord's allies and enemies with incredible meals, using everything he remembers from history and his culinary skills to navigate this dangerous new life.
