Synopsis

At St. Lucia Academy, a male teacher's body turns up in the pool. Mizuho Kousaka, the shy, bullied girl who discovers him, barely reacts—dead bodies aren't exactly new to her. When another student dies, suspicion falls on Mizuho, but her newly formed friendship with Shion Sonozaki might be her only lifeline. Both girls carry heavy trauma, and Shion becomes fiercely protective. This arc fills in gaps about Shion's past at the academy and branches off from the main Higurashi storyline. The collection also includes an epilogue and chapters from Onisarashi-hen called "Upside Down."
