Synopsis

Nasu is an anthology series built around recurring characters like Takama, a farmer, and Aya Takashi, a girl who starts out abandoned by her father and living in Tokyo with her two younger siblings. As the manga continues into its second volume, Aya moves to the countryside to stay with relatives near Takama's farm. Beyond their story, the collection includes several other standalone tales—one about samurai in the Edo period hunting forbidden eggplant, another set on a futuristic Mount Fuji, a truck driver's story, and "Summer in Andalusia," which follows professional Spanish cyclist Pepe Benengeli and was later adapted into a film.
