He runs into Kuro Usagi, a cute rabbit-eared girl, and before he knows it, he's swept into one of these games. Joined by Ayazato Suzuka and Kudou Ayato (who got summoned alongside him) plus Izayoi Sakamaki (an old friend he hasn't seen in five years), Homura finds himself caught up in a massive game that's somehow bleeding into the real world. Problem is, they're going up against actual gods and buddhas—and Homura's got some kind of hidden ability that might be his only shot at winning.
