Ell's a dragon who's basically given up on life and just wants a warrior to put him out of his misery so he can rest in peace. When a warrior finally shows up, though, Ell accidentally kills them instead—which is the opposite of what he wanted. So he comes up with a new plan: raise his own warrior from scratch. That way, he'll have someone strong enough to finish the job whenever he's ready. He teams up with Lafi, a magician, and they adopt Dino, a baby who's supposed to become a warrior. The three of them form this weird little family. Turns out teaching a kid combat moves is way harder than Ell bargained for, though.
