Synopsis

Takeo Gouda's a high school guy with an intimidating build that tends to freak people out at first glance. But anyone who actually knows him realizes he's genuinely kind and has solid character—so he's well-liked and respected by people who matter. Problem is, his love life is nonexistent. Every girl he's crushed on has ended up interested in his best friend Makoto Sunakawa instead, who happens to be conventionally attractive and quiet. Then one day Takeo saves a cute girl named Rinko Yamato from a bad situation and falls for her hard. What he doesn't realize is that she fell for him too. But because Takeo's oblivious, he assumes Rinko must be into Sunakawa like everyone else. Being the softie he is, Takeo decides to play wingman and help set them up together—even though it means completely giving up on his own shot with her.
