Baron: The Cat Returns
Baron: Neko no Danshaku
Haru Yoshioka is kind of a mess—constantly embarrassing herself in public, especially in front of her crush Machida. One day she saves a cat from getting hit by a truck, and the cat repays her by standing up and thanking her before disappearing. That same night, a whole group of cats shows up at her house, led by the Cat King himself, who's come to thank her for rescuing his son, Prince Lune. As thanks, the Cat King gives Haru a tablet listing five gifts heading her way: lacrosse sticks (to replace the one she broke saving the prince), a field of green foxtails, catnip, canned mice, and. marriage. Yeah, marriage to the prince. When Haru tries to politely reject the whole thing, the king's servant completely misreads the situation and takes her response as a yes. Panicking, Haru gets directed to the Cat Office by a mysterious voice, hoping they can somehow fix this mess—though it's not clear they'll have any idea what to do about an accidental engagement.
