Synopsis

Japan's long past slavery, but everything changes when a device called the Slave Control Method starts circulating. The SCM lets users enslave whoever they want—perfect for settling scores or indulging darker impulses. There's just one rule: two owners have to challenge each other in a game, and the winner gets total control over the loser. Eiya Arakawa, a part-time worker, and Yuuga Oota, a carefree guy, end up crossing paths. After some tension between them, Oota convinces Arakawa to become his "insurance"—basically, if he loses to someone else, she can take control of him instead. The SCM games have no actual rules. Users can pull any dirty trick they want. Nobody's off limits either, whether they're office workers or popular club hosts. Anyone could end up enslaved.
