This series picks up right where Zeta Gundam left off, following the AEUG battleship Argama as it faces off against Neo Zeon (the reformed Axis Zeon). Captain Bright Noa brings in a crew of teenage junk collectors—led by Judau Ashta, a brash but incredibly powerful Newtype—to pilot the ship's mobile suits. The team gets equipped with some serious firepower: the massive Double Zeta Gundam, the returning Zeta Gundam, the Gundam Mk-II, and the Hyaku Shiki. They're collectively known as the Gundam Team, and this was actually the first series to regularly feature multiple Gundam units fighting together. The story builds to a climactic battle at Side 3, the Axis stronghold.
