A white lion named Panja rules the African jungle as its emperor—until a hunter kills him. Panja's mate, the Queen of the Jungle, gets captured and is being shipped away. While on the ship, she gives birth to Panja's son and names him Leo. Before she can do anything else, she urges the cub to escape and return to Africa to take his father's place. A storm hits, the ship goes down, and the Queen drowns. Leo washes ashore, but not in Africa like his mother hoped—he ends up on a beach in the Arabian Peninsula instead. That's where his journey really begins.
