Sensei no Susume
God's been dead for a while now, and heaven needs a new one. Rain, an angel who really doesn't want the job, gets picked as one of four candidates to replace him. The deal is simple: spend a year on Earth, prove you're worthy of godhood, and you're allowed to tell one human what's actually going on. That human ends up being Shirou Natsume, your average high school kid who wants to be a teacher. Rain recruits him for what's basically the weirdest parenting experiment ever—they have to raise some blank-slate creature and teach it to be as human as possible. No personality, no emotions, nothing to work with. Just Rain, Shirou, and a kid they need to turn into an actual person.
