Synopsis

Kenshin arrives in Tokyo and finds his way to the Kamiya Kasshin-ryû dojo, where he trains in the philosophy of "swords that give life." Life at the dojo is quiet but never dull—Kenshin and his fellow student Yahiko push themselves hard under their kind but strict instructor, Kaoru. Everything shifts when Tae shows up from the nearby Akabeko restaurant one day with beef stew and a desperate favor to ask. A regular customer lost an important book belonging to his master, and he's facing homelessness if he can't find it. What starts as a simple missing book case quickly spirals into something far more sinister, pulling Kenshin and his friends into a tangle of secrets and dangerous conspiracies.
