Synopsis

Peace Pet Rental's Lag is a robotic dog—not the fastest or most capable machine around. He can only do what's been programmed into him, and he's definitely got his limitations. But everyone loves him anyway. Then something strange starts happening. Lag begins solving people's problems in ways that shouldn't be possible according to his programming. It's almost like a miracle. Despite being a machine that shouldn't have feelings, something seems to have awakened inside him—something that looks a lot like emotion. So what's really going on with Lag? What is he actually? This is ultimately a gentle story about healing, aimed at people struggling with pain and heartbreak. It explores love, kindness, and sacrifice through the lens of an impossible robot dog.
