At its peak stands the Temple, radiating brilliant light and possessing the ability to observe other worlds. Sola used this power to watch ordinary people living elsewhere, and she wrote down their stories in sacred texts called The Scriptures. By reading these books, people could harness Crea—the life force itself. With Sola's presence maintaining abundance, Etoilia enjoyed an era of lasting peace. Then everything fell apart. Someone sealed away the goddess, and as The Scriptures lost their luster and faded from importance, Crea began draining from the world. In response to this crisis, two unlikely heroes emerged: Lamp and Match, former Temple servants who decide to set out on a quest. Their mission is to find a legendary summoner who can help them rescue the goddess and restore what was lost.
