Shingo, a 25-year-old office worker, falls asleep thinking about his busy day ahead. When he wakes up, he's horrified to discover he's been reincarnated into the body of a 6-year-old boy named Wendelin Von Benno Baumeister—and he has all of the kid's memories to prove it. Wendelin comes from a poor noble family stuck in a remote backwater region. His parents are counting on him to help manage their vast lands, but he has zero talent for administration. The one thing he does have going for him is an incredibly rare gift for magic. Too bad that's caused more problems than it's solved for his struggling family. Now trapped in this kid's body, Shingo has to navigate a harsh medieval world and figure out how to actually use his magical talents to carve out a better life.
