Sarazanmai
Kazuki Yasaka, an 8th grader in Asakusa, gets turned into a kappa along with his classmates Toi and Enta after they accidentally break a statue of the kappa god protecting the city. A mysterious creature named Keppi—who claims to be the rightful heir to the Kappa Kingdom throne—forces them into a deal: fight his enemies' bioweapon creations called Kapa-zombies, and they'll get turned back human. There's a catch, though. The only way to kill these things is by producing a special sound called "Sarazanmai," which only works when all three boys synchronize perfectly. Problem is, they can't seem to connect at first. And every time they manage to pull it off, one of their secrets gets exposed to the others. Eventually the trio agrees to take on the fights, especially after Keppi offers them "Plates of Hope"—magical plates that can grant wishes whenever they defeat a Kapa-zombie. But things get complicated with the plates, and as the battles keep happening, it becomes clear these three have some serious baggage. Buried trauma, unresolved conflicts, all of it comes spilling out. It's basically a story about three kids who feel disconnected from the people around them, learning what it actually means to trust and rely on each other.
