Synopsis

Okabe is broken. After failing to save Kurisu, he gives up on everything—abandoning his mad scientist persona in a desperate attempt to move on and forget. For a while, life seems normal again. Then he runs into someone who knew Kurisu. They're working on something unsettling: a device that can upload a person's memories and create a digital simulation of them, complete with their personality and mannerisms. Okabe decides to test it out. Bad idea. The Kurisu simulation doesn't bring him closure—it only dredges up old pain and introduces new horrors he never saw coming.
