Synopsis

In a world where humans and demons live side by side, the Demon Lord Tasogare has captured Princess Aurora Suya Rhys Kaymin and is holding her for ransom—he wants humanity to surrender and let him rule everything. Humans aren't having it, so they send the hero Yuusha Akatsuki to rescue her. But here's the thing: Suya's actually fine. She's not being mistreated or anything. The real problem is that she's stuck in a demon castle feeling bored out of her mind and can't sleep. The accommodations are pretty bad, and she's constantly exhausted but restless. So instead of waiting around to be rescued, she decides to take matters into her own hands and try to make the place more livable—which turns out to be way more entertaining than expected.
