In a remote mountain village in Japan, Wataru hears a mysterious voice calling to him. Following it away from school, he stumbles onto something that'll either change his life completely—or end it. Turns out there's a whole hidden world of monsters looking to bond with kids, and once they do, these children and their new "friends" get thrown into brutal, deadly battles.
