Eight years after Western technology reached 19th century Japan, mechanized dolls and steam-powered machines became commonplace. The Wind Gang—a group obsessed with these creations—decided the only way forward was violent revolution to usher in a new Industrial Age. They destroyed Hiwou's peaceful village in a brutal attack. Hiwou managed to escape with his friends and a massive doll called Homura. Now he's on a mission to find his father, hoping that together they can stop the Wind Gang and restore peace to Japan.
