A Japanese reporter named Sohei Toge is in Berlin covering the 1936 Olympics when he learns his younger brother has been killed. The timing is suspicious—his brother had just contacted him about an important document. What makes it worse is that all traces of his brother's existence as a student in Germany have been systematically wiped out. Back in Japan, two boys named Adolf—one half-German and half-Japanese, the other a Jewish-German kid—accidentally get pulled into the case. Their lives become tangled up with Sohei's investigation, all of it somehow connected to the biggest secret of a third Adolf: Adolf Hitler himself.
