Synopsis

This collection gathers four short stories by Yuu Watase. Mint de Kiss Me follows Misono, a superstitious girl who buys into an old legend: kissing someone you like while holding a mint candy will bind your souls together. She sets out to try this on her teacher crush Tohno-sensei, but botches the plan and ends up kissing her classmate Shindou instead. The legend turns out to be real, and Misono's spirit gets pulled into Shindou's body. Genseika opens with Chiya witnessing a horrifying death at school—a flower bursts out of one of her longtime friends. As the deaths spread to other students, she and her other friend Yutaka try to figure out what's causing them. The answer, it turns out, hits closer than expected. Furimuke Romance! centers on Taka, a tough tomboy known for beating up the guys who sneak peeks at the girls' locker room. Her real dream is just to be asked out by someone cute. When Ryouta, a cheerful street vendor, gives her a special ring with a heart-shaped locket, things take a romantic turn—at least if you put two pictures inside. Hang in there Nakago (Part I) imagines Fushigi Yuugi as a live-action production. The actor playing Nakago struggles with self-doubt despite his confident character, but he's got one devoted fan—a woman who brings flowers to support him—keeping him going.
