Masago Shiraishi used to have a gift—she could sense what people were feeling and thinking. But after her parents died and she moved in with a new family, that ability seemed to fade away. At least, that's what she believed until one day at school, when she suddenly picks up on such intense murderous intent that she passes out cold. Freaked out, she confides in her friends Kei Shinohara and Satoru Hidaka, who both try to reassure her it's nothing to worry about. Then a student dies under suspicious circumstances during the school festival, and Masago can't shake the feeling that what she sensed wasn't random. Now she's left wondering who killed them—and what role, if any, she's supposed to play in uncovering the truth. The second volume also includes an unrelated one-shot called "Chi no Tsubuyaki, Yami no Sasayaki" about a guy so obsessed with a girl that he comes back as a ghost to haunt her after he dies.
