Synopsis

It's early 1900s England, and Emma—a working-class maid—falls for William Jones, a wealthy aristocrat. Their romance shouldn't work on paper. Class divides run deep, William's family is horrified, and Victorian society makes it abundantly clear that people like them don't end up together. But the two can't stay away from each other, and their feelings only grow stronger despite the constant pressure to keep them apart.
