Synopsis

Raku Ichijou made a promise to his childhood friend years ago—if they ever met again, they'd get married. A decade later, he barely remembers her face, but he's still got the locked pendant she gave him, waiting for the day she comes back with the key. As a high school freshman, Raku's trying to live normally. He wants to become a civil servant and actually has a crush on a girl named Kosaki Onodera. But there's a problem: he's the heir to a yakuza family, and when an American gang called the Bee Hive starts causing trouble on his family's territory, things get complicated fast. To broker peace, Raku gets forced into a fake relationship with Chitoge Kirisaki, the Bee Hive leader's daughter. They absolutely despise each other at first, but they've got to pretend to be in love and basically live together if they want to keep their families from tearing each other apart. Making matters worse, random girls keep showing up who apparently have some connection to his old pendant. So now Raku's juggling a fake girlfriend, trying not to start a gang war, hunting for his childhood friend, and somehow keeping his head above water through it all.
