Ogami Matsugorou
Ogami Matsugorou is basically the toughest guy in his new high school, complete with hordes of enemies and just as many followers. His entire existence revolves around fighting—though he's oddly devout about praying for everyone he beats up. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Nagasaki Koume during mandatory volunteer work at a local kindergarten. She's beautiful, intelligent, and absolutely hates violence, which puts her at complete odds with Ogami's way of life. Wanting to impress her, Ogami gets serious about the volunteer gig. The kindergarten's being shaken down by local yakuza who've been trashing the place, so he brings his gang in to help repair the damage. It's actually going pretty well until the yakuza inevitably show up again. Ogami does what he does best—absolutely demolishes them—and while he technically saves the day, Koume can't get past the fact that he solved everything with his fists. She appreciates that he helped, sure, but his methods are exactly what she despises.
