Synopsis

Every weekday, Hime Gotou watches her dad get dressed for work in his suit and tie before heading off to his office job. The moment she's out of sight, though, he ditches the whole thing and throws on a ratty T-shirt and shorts instead. There's a reason for the quick change: Kakushi Gotou is actually an established manga artist—and not the wholesome kind. He writes comedy manga packed with crude humor and vulgar jokes, which means he's desperately paranoid about keeping it secret from his innocent 10-year-old daughter. The thought of Hime finding out and losing respect for him is enough to send him into full panic mode. So he gets creative. With help from Hime's teacher and his exhausted editors, Gotou launches into increasingly ridiculous schemes to keep her away from his work. But beneath all the silly hijinks and comedy, there's something darker lurking in the family's past that slowly comes to light.
