Synopsis

Lucy Davenport, a journalist convinced of their existence, travels to Texas hoping to get a story on the Blessed—a shadowy group of superhuman beings who've quietly shaped human history since ancient times. There she connects with a group of cyborgs who've spent years fighting Black Ghost and defending humanity from various threats. The cyborgs have finally gotten a chance at peace now that the UN Guardian troops have taken over that responsibility, but Lucy's arrival and the Blessed's reemergence pull Joe and his companions back into action whether they like it or not.
