Synopsis

Yukino Miyazawa has it all figured out. She's beautiful, athletic, smart, and genuinely loved by everyone at school—or so they think. The truth? It's completely fake. She's basically admitted to herself that she's a total narcissist obsessed with being admired, and that's literally all she cares about. Then high school happens, and she finally meets someone who ruins everything: Souichirou Arima. He's got the looks, the athletic ability, the popularity, and the brains to match. The worst part? He beat her for top grades. Yukino hates him. She's been plotting how to knock him back down and reclaim her throne as the school's golden child. But then Souichirou does something completely unexpected—he confesses that he's in love with her. Oh, and he knows all about the fake persona. And he's blackmailing her with it. Stuck together, they realize they're way more alike than either of them wanted to admit. Slowly, they start pulling each other's real selves out into the open.
