Synopsis

Kazumi Kiba carelessly volunteers his class to throw a masquerade ball for the school festival, and to make good on his promise, he and his best friend Rihito Shimizu end up at a strange mask shop. The creepy shopkeeper tells them the masks are called "Personas"—tools for unlocking hidden sides of yourself—and lets them take whatever they want, as long as they bring them back once they've tapped into their hidden powers. Kazumi doesn't think much of it, but Rihito clearly recognizes something about the place. He vanishes right in front of Kazumi without explanation. Desperate to find him, Kazumi tracks Rihito down—only to discover his friend has become hostile and is surrounded by demons ready to attack. Forced to fight for his life, Kazumi discovers he can summon his own Persona. Shocked at this new ability, he decides to track down what turned Rihito into an enemy in the first place.
