Kon Chigawa is a middle schooler who's spent her whole life on a tiny island and has no plans to leave. She's isolated from her classmates, lonely, and has never experienced romance—until she literally crashes into Furuka, a girl from the city, on a clifftop. After they tumble into the ocean, Kon manages to pull her to safety. But when Furuka wakes up, they find themselves standing at the entrance to a cave that's supposedly full of monsters—a place Kon visits all the time. From that point on, weird stuff starts happening around the island.
