Crown Prince Cecil Glo Alphasta has it all—intelligence, talent, everything comes naturally to him. The problem is that nothing interests him anymore. Everything's too easy, and boredom has basically become his default state. Then he meets Bertia Ibil Noches, his arranged fiancée, and she immediately throws him for a loop. Bertia's convinced she's living in an otome game and has been reborn as the villain. She's decided her whole purpose is to sabotage Cecil's relationship with the game's heroine, and she takes this job way too seriously. The thing is, no matter how hard she tries to be evil, her "villainous schemes" keep coming across as genuinely kind and thoughtful instead. She has no idea what's actually happening, but Cecil definitely notices. For the first time in forever, Cecil isn't bored. Watching his well-meaning fiancée fail spectacularly at being a villain becomes his favorite thing.
