Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?
When 7G Network technology rolled out, it was supposed to change everything—but instead, it basically destroyed Japan. The landscape warped, people started mutating into animals, and civilization as anyone knew it just… ended. Agano is one of the last towns standing, though there's a catch: every adult over 21 has transformed into an animal. Shizuru Chikura, a high school student stuck in Agano, is looking for her friend Youka Nakatomi. She spots a photo of Youka in a newspaper from Ikebukuro and decides to go find her. With normal transportation down and out, options are basically nonexistent—until an old, slightly out-of-it conductor named Tairo Zenjirou (the only human adult left in town) teaches her how to operate an abandoned train. So Shizuru sets off on her search. But right before she leaves, three of her classmates—Nadeshiko Hoshi, Reimi Kuga, and Akira Shinonome—show up and ask to come along. What starts as a mission to find one friend turns into a group trip down a single railroad line, and they're headed straight into dangers that make anything back home look harmless.
