Synopsis

Hikari Kamijou is a cheerful, somewhat naive girl with big dreams—she wants to become an Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, inspired after watching the Bulgarian star Diliana Georgieva perform. She's not naturally talented and struggles with confidence, but her passion for the sport shines through, and she has moments of real brilliance in competition. Hikari no Densetsu is set in a late 80s junior high school and follows four characters as they chase their respective dreams. At its heart, though, it's a love story woven through their coming-of-age journey.
