Synopsis

Anne Halford dreams of becoming a Silver Sugar Master like her mother—a prestigious title only the royal family can award. To make the trip to the capital and chase that dream, she buys Challe as a bodyguard. There's just one problem: he's a fairy, and a pretty cranky one at that. In a kingdom where fairies are basically treated as slaves, Challe has zero interest in getting close to any human. But Anne's determined to be his friend anyway. As they travel together, will Challe's attitude toward her—and humans in general—actually start to change?
