About half of Sakurada's population—a small coastal town—has some kind of special ability. These powers vary wildly: one person can enter a cat's mind, another can literally rewind time. A government organization called the Kanrikyoku oversees and regulates these abilities. At their school, Asai Kei and Haruki Misora are part of the "Houshi" club, which handles missions assigned by the Kanrikyoku. Misora's power lets her reset the world back three days, essentially erasing all events and memories from that period. Kei's ability is stranger—he can remember things even after Misora uses her power. So while everyone else forgets those three days, Kei holds onto the memories. Together, they use this combination to solve whatever the Kanrikyoku throws at them.
