When they were kids, Aoi and Hinata made a promise at the top of a mountain to climb it together again someday. But they drifted apart over the years, and after an accident on the playground, Aoi developed a serious fear of heights—pretty much the worst outcome for someone who'd promised to go mountain climbing. By the time high school rolled around, Aoi had basically moved on. She was happy doing indoor stuff and taking things at her own pace. Then Hinata showed up and brought that old promise right back into focus. At first Aoi wasn't interested, but being in familiar places started bringing back memories from that day on the mountain. The pull of those memories was stronger than her doubts, so she decided to give climbing another shot. That one decision opens up a whole new world for her—new mountains, new experiences, and most importantly, new friends to share it all with.
