Tokitou Haruto had a rough start to middle school. After getting way too into a sci-fi novel, he started calling guys "Kei" and girls "Florlain"—and somehow this caught on with the entire school. The backlash was brutal. He lost all his friends and spent the rest of middle school isolated, never really recovering. Now in his first year of high school, something weird keeps happening: time stops. At first Haruto thinks he's losing it—maybe it's all in his head. But everything changes when he meets Sakazaki Kuon, who not only experiences the same thing but actually knows what's going on.
