Tenchi Academy is an all-girls boarding school famous for two things: solid academics and producing the country's best sword fighters. The school runs a competitive program called "Sword Bearer" where students battle it out in a tournament called the Star Stealing to grab prize money and bragging rights. Kurogane Hayate shows up as a substitute for her sister Nagi, who's dealing with an injury.
