Yukio was killed in battle, but Tetsuo managed to escape in a pod. After eight years of being frozen in cold sleep, the pod finally touches down on Earth. When Tetsuo wakes up, though, he's greeted by a nightmare—the whole planet is buried under ice and snow. Somehow Earth has become a frozen wasteland. Now he's got to figure out what destroyed humanity and froze the world, all while trying to honor the last promise he made to Yukio.
